Bead Block Solution

Bead Block Solution is specifically formulated to block excess non-specific protein binding sites on streptavidin magnetic beads. It consists of biotin-free Hammarsten-grade casein (5 mg/mL) dissolved in Tris-buffered saline with a microbial preservative and a milk-based protein buffer solution. During the manufacturing process, this special block solution is filtered to produce a colloidally stable reagent when stored refrigerated. The use of Bead Block Solution in conjunction with ultra-sonication (5 minutes) also eliminates mild bead-to-bead aggregation and generates a microscopically mono-disperse bead population.

Bead Block Solution is recommend for use with the following products to rapidly block non-specific protein binding sites without affecting biotin binding capacity:

• NanoLink™ Streptavidin Magnetic Beads (Cat. No. M-1001-010)
• MagnaLink™ Streptavidin Magnetic Beads (Cat. No. M-1003-010)

Note: Do not freeze this product. Upon receipt store the product at 2-8^oC. Product is shipped at ambient temperature and contains an anti-microbial preservative.
