Malaria Scarf (Red & Yellow)
Malaria is a serious disease, usually tropical, credited with killing more people than any other infectious disease with the exception of tuberculosis. Infection is caused by one or more species of the Plasmodium protozoa. The parasite is transmitted from human to human by the bite of the Anopheles mosquito. Modern anti-malarial drugs have historically been able to cure Malaria. Insecticide-resistant mosquitoes and drug-resistant protozoa are becoming more common, however, making world wide efforts at eradication problematic.
