Description

The predominant method to determine the initial phasing of completely new biological macromolecule structures are the multiple isomorphous replacement. One or more heavy atom derivations are used in the process. Usually, numbers of heavy atoms must be screened out to find whether they will bind the crystal or disrupt the crystal lattice.

In the process, heavy atom derivatization is typically performed by adding a solution of new atom to crystal drops (mother liquor) or transferring the crystals from mother liquor drop to solutions of containing heavy atom. Either way, It require heavy atom solutions from 1mM to 100mM depending on the factors and interactions such as Temperate, pH, Crystallization reagents, and heavy atoms…etc.

Crystalgen’s ready to use heavy atom solutions are specially designed for the convenient kit of most used heavy atom compounds. The solutions are manufactured on the same day when orders received so they are freshly made and ready to use.Each kit of the solution provide 200 µl of 20 mM and 100 mM heavy atom in a microtube. Customized large size or special concentration of any choice is also available.
