Human Fibronectin Elisa Kit

Introduction

Fibronectin, a major cell surface glycoprotein, is found on cell surfaces and circulating in plasma.  It has been shown to be important in wound healing and in cellular interactions.

The BTI Human Fibronectin ELISA Kit measures human fibronectin from both plasma and cellular extracts.  The assay employs a standard 3.5 hour Elisa protocol.  A 100 microliter sample is required and the range is 25-2000 nanograms of human fibronectin per ml.

A number of other species of fibronectin have been evaluated with the kit.  The range of these other species’ assays is less sensitive.  Bovine Fibronectin is 0.5-100ug/ml, Mouse Fibronectin is 0.2-50ug/ml, and Rat Fibronectin is 0.2-20ug/ml.

The kit is in a 96-well (precoated strip) format and includes all the necessary reagents and a complete protocol to perform
the assay.

Procedural Outline

1. Add 100ul samples or standard in duplicate, add 50ul of Fibronectin Ab. Incubate at 37ºC.

2. Add 50ul alkaline phosphatase HFN conjugate. Incubate at 37ºC for 1 hour.

3. Aspirate and wash (3x).

4. Add 200ul Substrate, incubate @37deg.C 1hour. Read Absorbance at 410nm.
